Sustainable Investing Philosophy
Where our Investment Expertise Intersects with Your Values
Globally, flows into sustainable funds remained positive in 2023; they gathered US$63 billion last year (1) as business leaders continued to focus on how certain issues impact not just their financial bottom line, but their company reputation, risk exposure and management, and corporate value. Sustainability will continue to become deeply embedded in the financial foundations of companies in 2024; there is growing recognition that the incorporation of sustainability, financial stability and business strategy are not opposing goals but are fundamentally intertwined. More than half of individual investors, or 54%, ‘plan to increase’ their sustainable investments in the coming year; 77% ‘are interested’, and 84% ‘are very or somewhat interested’ in sustainable investing, according to the Morgan Stanley Institute for Sustainable Investing(2).For clients interested in exploring sustainable investing, SSCA has developed methodology for researching, tracking, and reporting on customized, sustainable portfolios.
